Direct Install

Learn more about cash incentive programs that provide reimbursement for identifying beneficial energy efficiency projects for small businesses.

The Small Business Solutions with Direct Install Program is offered to Maryland small business customers of Potomac Edison with an electrical demand at or below 60 kW by identifying beneficial energy efficiency projects that qualify for incentives. This program provides technical assistance and a broad range of eligible energy conservation measures to qualifying small business customers with significant financial assistance.

Program Description

To begin, an energy adviser will conduct an initial walk through audit of your facility to identify energy-saving opportunities. As a part of the audit, customers may be eligible for replacement of energy-saving measures including energy-efficient CFL/LED lighting, one LED exit sign and, for electric water-heating facilities, installation of low-flow, pre-rinse spray nozzles. If applicable, a program representative will install these measures during a follow-up visit.

Within five to ten business days of your audit, a program representative will provide a summary of the audit detailing recommended changes and a breakdown of the costs covered under the program (up to 80% of the cost of material and labor associated with the upgrades).

Effective Dates

The Small Business Solutions with Direct Install Program incentives will be available beginning September 1, 2015.
