Wholesale Roofing Distributor Shines Light on Savings
Frederick County, MD
The check was presented to ABC Supply, the largest wholesale distributor of roofing products in the United States, by Potomac Edison’s Energy Solutions for Business Program for installation of interior and exterior energy-efficient LED lighting improvements throughout the company’s Frederick facility. The upgrades are expected to save more than 50,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh), which is equivalent to the energy used to charge more than 4.5 million smartphones.
Potomac Edison’s Energy Solutions for Business Program offers rebates to Maryland commercial and industrial customers for qualified upgrades to more energy-efficient products including lighting, process controls, HVAC and more. In this case, upgraded lighting improved facility safety in both the short- and long-term.
By participating in the Energy Solutions for Business Program, ABC Supply was able to complete LED upgrades to 77 fixtures without affecting their annual capital expenditures, receiving help from Potomac Edison during every step of the process—from initial survey to final sign-off.
ABC Supply is committed to promoting and preserving the American Dream by helping people accomplish the extraordinary—based on their fundamental belief that every person has within themselves the ability to do great things. By maximizing their efficiency, the company is able to help employees fulfill their maximum potential.
“The new LED lighting has improved our warehouse efficiencies tremendously by offering a safer environment for the early starts and will definitely help when it gets dark early in the winter months,” said Bob Pittman, Managing Partner. “Thanks to Shepard Electric’s expertise with product selection and Guyton Electric quick installation there was very little interruption with our day-to-day business.”
